Rachel Jane Wittmann is the Metadata Strategies Librarian at the University of Utah’s J. Willard Marriott Library. In her role at the University of Utah, she oversees the metadata creation and remediation for the Marriott Digital Library and develops digital exhibits. Her research focuses on digital library outreach, reparative metadata, and exploring ways to interpret metadata with data visualizations. Rachel is a co-author of the ALA Editions book The High-Impact Digital Library: Innovative Approaches for Outreach and Instruction (2024). Rachel achieved her MLIS from Pratt Institute’s School of Information in New York City.
