Peter Shirts is the Music and Dance Librarian at Emory University in Atlanta. He has published articles on open access, score binding, music reference, streaming video, and Australian composer Percy Grainger. He recently had an article published in Music Library Association’s journal Notes on the African American collections relating to music in Emory Libraries’ special collections. He currently serves on the Copyright, Legislation, Education, and Advocacy Network (CLEAN) subcommittee of the ALA Committee on Legislation and as the co-chair of the Music Library Association’s Legislation Committee.
