Jamie A. Becker is a doctoral candidate at Emporia State University, working towards her Ph.D. in Library and Information Management. She also serves as a teacher-librarian at a high school near St. Louis. Her research focuses on social capital in school libraries, censorship, the evolving role of school librarians, and the information-seeking process of genealogists related to libraries. Jamie has received several accolades, including Teacher of the Year nominations, membership in Beta Phi Mu Honor Society, and participation in the ALA’s Emerging Leader program, highlighting her dedication to education.
