Amanda Hovious is an Assistant Professor at the School of Library and Information Management (SLIM) at Emporia State University. She holds an MLIS from the University of Wisconsin—Milwaukee, an MS in Instructional Design and Technology from the University of North Dakota, and a PhD in Information Science from the University of North Texas. She is a former public and academic librarian, currently president of the Kansas Library Association College and University Libraries Section, and she is actively involved on the OER Committee at Emporia State University. Her work has been published in the Journal of Documentation, Library Trends, Information Technology and Libraries, and Technology, Knowledge and Learning. She is also co-author of the OER textbook High Impact Instructional Librarianship, available on the EdTech Books platform. She can be reached at ahoviou1@emporia.edu.
