Brittni Ballard (she/her/hers)

Learning Technologies Librarian
Towson University

Brittni Ballard has has served as a College of Education Liaison and Learning Technologies Librarian at Towson University in Baltimore County, MD since 2019. Brittni is the incoming 2025-2026 Chair for the ACRL Distance and Online Section and co-founded TU's Disability, Neurodivergence, and Chronic Illness Faculty and Staff Association. She is an accessibility evangelist and teacher first, a digital pedagogy practitioner and critical technology enthusiast second, and teaching librarian third. Brittni values inclusion, critical pedagogy, student-centered learning experience design, and privacy. As a former disabled student without formal accommodations who became a disabled librarian with formal accommodations, Brittni pursues a world of inclusion, not accommodation. She dreams of access that is mutual, of and for the collective, not individually instigated.
