Brinna Michael (they/them) has newly joined the Cornell University Library as the Visual Resources Metadata Librarian. Their most recent work has focused on reparative maintenance in the catalog, including modifying the classification of and expanding subject access to Liberation Theology materials and collaborating to review, implement, and expand on a project to automate the addition of Homosaurus terms to bibliographic records. Their professional interests include reparative description, metadata consultation and education, and digital access to visual materials. Brinna holds a BA in Classical Civilizations from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and an MSLIS from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
