Janel Peterson is the Coordinator of Immigrant Services at the Brooklyn Public Library. She oversees the library’s immigration legal assistance, citizenship program, language access, and multicultural programming. Janel works in the Outreach Services Department, which supports responsive services for older adults, immigrant communities, families affected by the justice system, and people experiencing homelessness. Janel has worked in Adult Education for almost a decade for community-based organizations and for the City University of New York (CUNY).
