Marshall Breeding, an independent consultant and author of the annual Library Systems Report published in American Libraries, will assemble and moderate a panel of CEO or other senior executives representing organizations that produce technology products or services for libraries. This annual CORE Executive Perspectives session provides a unique opportunity to learn about crucial strategies in play in the library technology industry first hand from top executives. A panel of 4 executives will respond to questions posed by the moderator and by the audience, and will engage in a lively discussion. The specific topics and panelists will be announced prior to the Annual Conference.
Learning Objectives:
Attendees to the session will learn about key technology and business trends with the potential to impact libraries.
The session will engage participants to ask questions to the panel participants that are relevant to their library or community.
Attendees will have the opportunity to critically consider and assess the statements and responses of the vendor representatives. Is the information simply marketing, or does it represent substantial progress toward better systems and services?
